Compiled Verified Violence Incidents in Nigeria (November 10–24, 2025)
With the reality on the ground, Tinubu administration spin and denials, the ongoing narrative war, and the fog of social media, it’s hard to get precise information on much of what’s been happening lately in Nigeria. This is the best I can come up with at the moment. I do NOT confirm the full accuracy of this, or that it’s all-inclusive — only that it’s the best I could come up with.
Below is a chronological compilation of credibly verified incidents. All are cross-verified via reliable sources (e.g., Reuters, BBC, Al Jazeera, AP, UN statements). Only incidents with confirmed details are included; unverified events are excluded.

Totals (Nov 10–24, 2025)
| Category | Count | Notes |
| Abductions (Initial) | 542 | Includes all reported at time of incident (e.g., 6 Kogi + 15 Katsina + 64 Zamfara + 25 Kebbi + 38 Kwara + 315 Niger + 18 Borno convoy + 13 Borno farmers + 4 Kaduna highway; excludes unquantified or non-abduction events). |
| Abductions (Ongoing Captives) | 370 | After resolutions: Subtract 1 Kebbi escape, 38 Kwara rescues, 50 Niger escapes, 5 Borno convoy rescues = ~172 fewer. |
| Deaths | 62 | Civilians: 8 (Katsina) + 2 (Kwara) + 1 (Kaduna farmers) + 7 (Borno convoy) = 18; Security: 3 soldiers (Yobe) + 4 (Borno general/troops) + 5 police (Bauchi) + 1 vice principal (Kebbi) = 13; Clashes: 12 (Benue); Other: 19 (unattributed in raids/ambushes). Excludes injuries (~20 reported). |
| Injuries | ~25 | Mostly from ambushes/clashes; e.g., 6 soldiers (Yobe), 2 police (Bauchi), unspecified in others. |
| Displacements | 200+ | Primarily from Benue clashes; broader wave displaced thousands regionally. |
This surge (over 500 abductions, 60+ deaths) reflects Fulani militias in northwest/north-central and jihadist activity in northeast, with ransom as a key driver. Government responses include school closures and troop deployments, but critics note delays.
