#EARTHSHAKER INTELLIGENCE BRIEF: IS TRUMP BEING PLAYED ON NIGERIA?
By Mike Arnold
President Trump took bold action on Nigeria. The people around him are ensuring it doesn’t work. The killing has increased since his involvement. The clock is running. If Trump looks away — or leaves office without dramatic intervention — Nigeria falls. This is not merely a foreign policy problem. It is a national security emergency with direct implications for the American homeland.
1. TRUMP’S SPECIAL ENVOY FOR AFRICA IS TIFFANY TRUMP’S FATHER-IN-LAW, A LONGTIME TINUBU CRONY — AND HE CARRIES A NIGERIAN PASSPORT
Massad Boulos — Trump’s Special Envoy for Africa, and the father of Tiffany Trump’s husband — holds four citizenships: Lebanese, Nigerian, French, and American. He has spent decades in Nigeria with documented longstanding business and social ties to President Tinubu. He met with Tinubu in Paris earlier this year. He officially advances the debunked “farmer-herder” narrative the Nigerian government uses to deny the genocide.
The man advising Trump on Nigeria carries Nigeria’s passport and has been Tinubu’s friend for decades. (Wikipedia; Arab Weekly, 2025; DOJ FARA filings)
2. TRUMP’S FORMER STATE DEPARTMENT ADVISOR IS NOW A PAID NIGERIAN LOBBYIST
Matt Mowers served as Senior White House Adviser at the US State Department during Trump’s first term. In 2023 he founded Valcour Global Public Strategy. On December 16, 2025 — six weeks after Trump designated Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern — Mowers signed a $720,000 lobbying contract with a Nigerian businessman linked to Tinubu’s re-election network. Filed with DOJ under FARA #7373. Scope: strategic communications with US media, Congress, and the executive branch to “strengthen the bilateral relationship between the United States and Nigeria.”
The contract was signed 24 hours before Nigeria’s NSA Nuhu Ribadu finalized a separate $9 million deal with DCI Group. Two firms. Two contracts. Signed within 24 hours of each other. Both aimed at one target: neutralizing Trump’s genocide designation before it sticks. (DOJ FARA filings; Daily Times Nigeria, Feb. 3, 2026)
3. NIGERIA IS PAYING MORE THAN $10 MILLION TO SUPPRESS THE TRUTH
Four confirmed FARA registrations. Running simultaneously. Timed to run through the congressional briefing season and the next USCIRF reporting cycle.
DCI Group (FARA #6278) — $9 million. Contracted through a Kaduna-based cutout law firm on behalf of NSA Ribadu. Declared mission, filed under oath: help Nigeria “communicate its actions to protect Nigerian’s Christian communities.” They are paying $9 million to manage the optics of a genocide, in part by aggressively attacking frontline eyewitnesses and activists before they can testify.
Valcour LLC / Matt Mowers (FARA #7373) — $720,000. Trump’s own Day-One State Department Senior Advisor, registered as a foreign agent for Nigeria sixty days after Trump signed the CPC designation. Immediately subcontracted to Bridgeway Advocacy ($105,000) and Mount Olives LLC ($60,000). Declared purpose: “strengthening the bilateral relationship between the U.S. and Nigeria.”
BGR Government Affairs (FARA #5430) — $150,000/month. Signed January 23, 2026. Lobbying directly on behalf of the Government of Nigeria — no cutout. BGR’s contact at the Nigerian government is the Director of Public Diplomacy.
Adomi Advisory Group (FARA #7683) — Hired by Nigeria’s Ministry of Finance to ghostwrite letters and formal statements submitted directly to House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee Chairman Chris Smith and Ranking Member Sara Jacobs. Nigeria literally wrote American lawmakers’ scripts.
They also built a propaganda website — SecureNigeria.com, launched March 18, 2026 — calling the genocide a “common misperception,” targeting our grassroots coalition by name, and dismissing Christian genocide advocates as people acting “for their own political and financial gain.”
Tinubu didn’t just hire lobbyists. He hired Trump’s own people. Every dollar is documented. Every firm is named. Every filing is public record at FARA.gov. The only question is which members of Congress are taking their meetings — and what is being said in them.
4. RILEY MOORE IS IN OVER HIS HEAD
Rep. Moore — appointed by Trump to investigate Nigeria — says he is “glad” to be “working with” the Nigerian government. His report to Trump, delivered February 23, 2026, was two pages. It names no perpetrators. Every headline recommendation requires Nigerian government cooperation to implement. Since Moore’s involvement the killings have increased. His statement after the Palm Sunday Massacre? More killings might “strain relations” between our governments. No joke. The Nigerian government reads his posture correctly: Washington is manageable. (Moore press release, Feb. 23, 2026; Tribune Online full text)
5. THE FBI AND DEA ARE STONEWALLING A FEDERAL JUDGE ON TINUBU’S DRUG FILES
Nigeria’s president forfeited $460,000 to a US federal court tied to a heroin trafficking investigation (Case No. 93 C 4483, 1993). A federal judge ordered the FBI and DEA to release 2,500 pages of investigative records. On February 3, 2026, Judge Beryl Howell publicly rebuked both agencies for three years of missed deadlines and delay tactics — ordering sworn affidavits explaining the obstruction and setting a hard deadline of June 1, 2026. The CIA successfully argued in court that revealing whether it holds records on Tinubu would compromise “national security.” The American and Nigerian people deserve to know what their government knows. (US District Court, DC; Peoples Gazette, Feb. 9, 2026; OCCRP)
6. THE DEEP STATE IS STILL RUNNING THE SOROS PLAYBOOK
The “farmer-herder conflict” and “climate change” framing that dominates official US analysis of Nigeria was produced by the International Crisis Group — funded by George Soros, authored by a Nigerian Sharia propagandist. It is demonstrably false. Former Secretary Blinken himself told USCIRF members that Christian massacres in Nigeria were caused by climate change. Career officials throughout State, USAID, and the intelligence community still lead with this narrative. It shapes every briefing Trump receives that doesn’t come from people willing to tell the truth. (Congress.gov hearing record; ICG funding records)
7. TRUMP BOMBED THE WRONG PLACE
The Christmas Day strikes hit Sokoto — not the Middle Belt, not Borno, not the zones where Christians are being slaughtered. The Nigerian government claims the coordinates came from its own intelligence-sharing with AFRICOM. If true, the most plausible explanation is that Tinubu used American firepower to eliminate rival jihadist competition in Sokoto Caliphate territory. The killing in the actual genocide zones has not slowed. It has accelerated. (CSIS, Dec. 2025; Al Jazeera, Dec. 26, 2025; Nigerian government statement)
8. SINCE TRUMP ACTED, THE KILLING HAS GOTTEN WORSE
In the five months since Trump tasked Moore with investigating Nigeria, more than 1,000 Christians have been killed, hundreds more abducted, and entire villages burned. The worst mass kidnapping since Chibok. A New Year’s Eve massacre. Miners slaughtered after specific advance warnings were publicly dismissed. Palm Sunday — 30 shot dead in the streets of Jos. Nearly 100 dead in a single week.
Through all of it, the Nigerian NSA — the man Moore met with — was caught arming the Fulani militias doing the killing. The Army Chief publicly called the terrorists “prodigal sons who deserve rehabilitation.” The NSA calls them brothers. The government bulldozes IDP camps and calls the displaced criminals.
And Moore warned them their behavior might “strain relations.” He’s been bamboozled. And people are dying while Washington plays nice.
This is not incompetence from a government trying to stop the killings. It’s corruption and complicity.. Advance warnings are documented and ignored. Soldiers stand down. The government arms the killers.
9. OBAMA BUILT THIS. BIDEN PROTECTED IT. THEIR PEOPLE ARE STILL IN PLACE.
In 2011, Nigeria had a Christian president and was the only nation on earth where radical Islam was being pushed back. Obama’s advisor David Axelrod officially advised the campaign of Muhammadu Buhari — a Muslim warlord who had called for full Sharia law. Obama removed Nigeria from the terror watch list, blocked FTO designation of Boko Haram, cut military support, and blocked Nigeria from obtaining aid from other nations.
When Boko Haram abducted 276 Chibok schoolgirls, the US had live drone footage of their location and was ordered to stand down. Those girls were sold, raped, and dispersed. Most never came home.
In November 2021, Secretary Blinken removed Nigeria from the CPC list against USCIRF’s explicit recommendation. USCIRF called it “appalling.” The attacks immediately increased. Biden kept Nigeria off the list for his entire term.
Their appointees and ideological allies still hold considerable sway. Trump inherited a Nigeria policy built by people who wanted this outcome. (USCIRF; International Christian Concern, Nov. 2021)
THE CALL TO ACTION
If the lobbyists, spin doctors, and spineless politicians prevail — the genocide ramps up with full impunity. If they survive Trump’s scrutiny, who stops them? Nigeria falls to nationwide Sharia. The terror pipeline to American soil flows unchecked. China locks up a trillion dollars in strategic minerals. The results will be measured in human lives.
The narrative war is as deadly as the shooting war. We must fight it with the same vigor and life-or-death determination.
Stop tiptoeing. Stop being political. Stop playing nice with people who are getting Christians killed while cashing Nigerian government checks.
Trump must understand — clearly, unequivocally, without diplomatic softening — that Nigeria is an Islamic regime posing as a secular democracy. Every moment spent working “with” that government is a trap. People are dying while Washington plays along.
Expose the conflicts of those advising him — by name, with documentation, without apology. Challenge the ignorance of those speaking into this directly and publicly. Dismantle the fog machine filling the White House with confusion and lies.
Every conversation, every hearing, every press statement must drive one message until it breaks through: the Nigerian government is not America’s partner in this fight. It is the problem.
Shine the light. Keep shining it. The window is closing.
