EarthShaker Legacy: How My Father Toppled a $10 Billion Fraud Empire

EarthShaker Legacy: How My Father Toppled a $10 Billion Fraud Empire

By Mike Arnold

Last week, God shook the world through me, and the numbers prove it.

It started with a single act of defiance at a press conference just a few days ago. The truth went out—and within a few days, it’s had (so far) 3+ billion known global engagements. The global narrative has shifted – across all media – from 80% genocide denial to 70% affirmation — even more dramatic in Nigeria. It is near impossible to comprehend. Observers liken it to the Tianamen Tank Man, or Charlie Kirk in the USA.

Reddit lit up. Pulpits caught fire. The world is watching.

I’m not the first in my lineage — spiritual or genetic — to shake the earth.

That mantle was forged by my fathers.

One was Prof. John Ofoegbu, my spiritual father—a revivalist who discipled nations, raised up leaders, and led Kenya’s Prime Minister to Christ. He prayed his mantle over me in 2010 in his village home outside Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. My next visit to that village was for his burial and life celebration just a few short years later.

The other was my biological father, Dr. Charles S. Arnold—a San Antonio psychiatrist who in the 1990s helped bring down a $10 billion fraud empire in the American mental health system.

This is his story. And it’s time the world remembered it.

Back then, chains like National Medical Enterprises (NME) and Psychiatric Institutes of America were abducting children under false diagnoses and billing Medicare for ghost therapies and inflated tests—stealing up to $20 billion a year from the U.S. public.

My father was pressured to sign off on $900,000 in fraudulent tests. He was offered riches beyond his imagination to go along.

He refused. No only that, he recorded the conversation.

And then he stood up.

Between 1991–1992, he testified before the Texas Legislature and US Congress under Rep. Patricia Schroeder’s subcommittee.

His words rang out across C-SPAN:

“Psychiatrists have betrayed the public trust for financial gain.”

That stand triggered a domino effect:

  • Over $1 billion in settlements
  • NME fined $375 million
  • Major for-profit chains collapsed
  • New national regulations were born

The lead U.S. Attorney told him bluntly, years later:

“You single-handedly brought down a $10 billion fraudulent industry.”

Then in 1992, the BBC broadcast the story to the world, through a documentary produced by Julian Hindley. It ignited reform internationally.

That same fire of my fathers burns in me.

So when I see injustice—whether in Africa’s persecuted villages or America’s engineered cultural collapse—I don’t flinch.

I know what my fathers have given me. Truth. Legacy. And the hammer of justice.

They now call me “#EarthShaker” in Nigeria. Yet I am also the proud son of two Earth Shakers.
