“Religion of Peace”
This isn’t sane. But it is called holy.

Deborah Samuel Yakubu was a 19-year-old Christian college girl in Sokoto, Nigeria. She posted a message in her campus WhatsApp study group saying “Jesus is the greatest” — thanking Him for helping her pass her exams. The next day, a mob of her classmates accused her of blasphemy, hunted her down on campus, beat her, stoned her, piled tires on her body and burned her alive — while police watched. The killers posted proud selfies in front of the fire consuming her body. When two of the killers were arrested, three churches were burned in protest. Thirty-four Islamic lawyers showed up to defend the suspects. The prosecution went AWOL. Both men were acquitted. Not one person punished.
Bridget Agbahime was a 74-year-old Christian market woman in Kano. She asked a man to stop washing his feet in her shop doorway. He said she insulted his prayers. A mob of more than 500 beat her to death while she knelt and prayed. Five men arrested. The governor promised justice. Five months later — all charges dismissed. “No case to answer.”
Rhoda Ya’u Jatau was a Christian nurse and mother of five. She shared a video of Deborah’s killing online and wrote that it was wrong. For that — for saying murder is wrong — she was charged with blasphemy and imprisoned for 19 months. The killers walked free. She went to prison. Because in this system, condemning the murder is the crime.
This isn’t dark ages history. This is current events — in a supposed secular democracy where English is the official language. The sixth-largest nation on earth. A United Nations member state.
If any individual in your city did what that mob did to Deborah Samuel, we would lock him away for life and call him criminally insane. The clinical diagnosis would be a cluster of the most dangerous personality disorders in the diagnostic manual — paranoid, narcissistic, antisocial. Pathological hypersensitivity to perceived insult. Grandiose entitlement to deference. Zero empathy for the victim. Violence reframed as righteousness. Any psychiatrist would have him in a locked ward.
But this wasn’t one man having a psychotic break. It was a campus. A mob. Thirty-four lawyers. A prosecutor who chose not to appear. A system doing exactly what it was built to do.
When an entire community shares the same delusion — the same triggers, the same justifications, the same reward structure for the violence — it’s no longer a disorder. It’s an ideology. And ideologies don’t get treatment. They don’t get negotiated with. They get defeated. Or you do.
This week, a commenter defending a similar incident wanted me to understand that Muslims would never insult another religion or its leaders. He closed with: “That is why we said — ISLAM, a religion of peace.”
The organization he was defending had just threatened a man with “more serious consequences” for an apology they deemed insufficient. Deborah Samuel’s killers walked free. Bridget Agbahime’s killers walked free. The nurse who said the murder was wrong did 19 months in prison.
Let me translate: “Islam is a religion of peace. Accept that — or face brutal consequences.”
This isn’t a fringe pathology. It is the fastest growing religious movement on earth. It is reshaping England. It carries within its legal and theological tradition a fully developed, centuries-old framework for killing people like Deborah Samuel and acquitting the people who do it. And it is making serious inroads in the United States.
That’s not bigotry. That’s not “Islamophobia.” That’s the court record.
And here’s what makes it impossible to dismiss as extremism: that mob wasn’t misunderstanding their prophet. They were imitating him.
Muhammad personally ordered the killing of people who mocked or criticized him — by name, on his direct instruction. A poet named Asma bint Marwan wrote verses ridiculing him. He had her killed in her home at night while her children slept around her, then publicly praised the killer in the morning. This is not disputed history. It is in the Sira — Muhammad’s official biography, written by Muslims, for Muslims. What happened to Deborah Samuel is not a corruption of the faith. It is the faith, following the founder’s own template.
There’s a reason Hitler studied Islam with admiration. He told his inner circle it was a superior system for conquest — built for men who needed no sentimental attachment to individual conscience. Today’s radical left has reached the same useful alliance from the opposite direction. Different road. Same destination. When you see Western institutions defending blasphemy prosecutions as cultural sensitivity and canceling anyone who speaks plainly about Deborah Samuel, you are watching the convergence Hitler understood intuitively.
Totalitarianism admires totalitarianism.
History has one answer to this ideology and it is not comfortable.
There is not a single example in 1,400 years of Islamic expansion being halted without direct military force. Not one. Charles Martel stopped it at Tours in 732. The Ottoman advance was stopped at Vienna in 1683. In 2013, France deployed troops to Mali — Operation Serval — and stopped a jihadist advance that was days from taking the capital. Without those troops, Mali falls. In 2017, ISIS-affiliated militants seized the Philippine city of Marawi. It took five months of urban combat to retake it. In 2006, Ethiopian forces drove the Islamic Courts Union out of Somalia by force — the one thing that worked where years of diplomacy had produced nothing. Israel has been surrounded by forces pledged to its annihilation since 1948. The list goes on.
Every halt of this ideology in history came through direct military force. That is not alarmism. That is the record.
The expansion happening right now — in England, in Europe, in Nigeria, in the United States, even in Texas — is not a future threat. It is current events. The window to address it through speech, through courage, through leaders willing to say plainly what this is, is real. But it is not unlimited.
Stand up and speak up now. Hopefully, this time, that will be enough.
